Accommodations on Aitutaki Atoll

For a small island Aitutaki has a number of accommodation options. From the budget traveler to those who are looking for a luxurious resort where they can kickback and relax, this island has it all. There are even a few houses to rent on Aitutaki, which range from the expensive to the more affordable.

One of the best budget accommodations on Atiutaki has to be Paradise Cove, which offers bungalows for rent as well as huts and small houses. Located on a pretty white sand beach some good snorkeling, the huts here have just the basic facilities, while the bungalows come with their own stove, bathroom and fridge. Tom’s Beach Cottage is another good budget hotel. Located near the beach, the rooms here are comfortable and clean. Cooking facilities are shared and there is also a large common room, where guests can hang out in.

Among the mid-range accommodations, Gina’s Garden Lodges is a good option. There are four lodges for rent here set in a lovely garden. Situated slightly inland, Gina’s is just a short distance away from Cafe Tupuna and the hospital. Rino’s Beach Bungalows can be found near a sports field just north of Arutanga. With some great views, the rooms for rent here are spacious and well maintained.

The best resort on Aitutaki has to be the Aitutaki Pearl Beach Resort located on the Akitua motu. Lying just south of the airstrip and connected to Aitutaki by a small bridge, this resort has a swimming pool, two restaurants and two bars. Isolated from the rest of the island, the Aitutaki Pearl Beach Resort offers scooters and cars for rent to its guests. You can enjoy plenty of activities at this resort, which is perfect for those who are looking for a more secluded vacation.

Are Tamanu is located near Paradise Cove and offers 12 thatched houses for rent. Each with its own garden, these homes come equipped with a king-size bed, bathrooms, a full service kitchen and air-conditioning. There is a pool for the guests as well as a private bar where one can unwind looking out onto the beach. Children under 12 are not accepted here.
